New car! But sick as a dog!!!

I got a new car!!! Got a relatively low mileage Audi A4 estate with a full Audi service history and at a great price too!! In our price range, all we were finding were cars with over 100,000 miles on the clock and ex fleet. Although they had FSH, you knew they'd have had a hard life! This one has 63k on it and all the service paperwork as well as the service book stamped, so we know exactly what's been done in the last 5 years!

However, despite the excitement at the new car, I'm typing my blog from my sickbed... I thought I wasn't great on Sunday, but I've gone progressively downhill since. I had to abandon Telford yesterday and come home. A two and a half hour drive took four, as I had to keep stopping... There's not a bit of me that doesn't ache and I'm cold despite it being 22c today! Hopefully after a day in bed I'll be back to a level to where I can concentrate on work!

I'm over on PP for the week already but I'm not going to stress about it, just need to be careful and add more water!

Back off to sleep now!

A pound on, but not surprised!

So, here we are, weekly weigh in! I've not blogged the last week, it's been a bit of a mental time with work, and also trying to find a new car (more on that in a bit....)!

Having had McDonald's for lunch on Thursday and Friday, and then again for dinner on Friday, there's no surprise there wasn't a loss this week... Plus, as I've been driving for most of the week, in hotels for 2 nights and working until midnight each night I was away, I slipped on exercise. Although I did manage to eat well during the hotel stays, by stopping at a supermarket and buying a salad, some fruit and a pack of chicken or prawn, so I had dinner and breakfast sorted. That's probably what prevented a bigger gain than I could have had! So, I'm a pound on this week... I managed to stay on track PP wise until Thursday and the first McDonald's! I had a bit too much wine on Friday night as well, even though it's lowered alcohol stuff!

So today the slate's wiped clean and I start again! I'm a little under the weather today, got myself overly stressed yesterday, trying to find a new car. We went to see one on Friday after work, only to be disappointed yet again! Bloody car dealers can't be honest!! Don't tell me it's 'mint' when it stinks of dog, has the remenants of children eating chocolate and crisps on the seats and seat belts, when the clutch rattles like a good un and there's black shit coming out of the exhaust! I'm not parting with thousands of pounds when it's likely to fall about 100 miles down the road! So, we've gone back to the Audi A4 idea and scrapped the Skoda 4x4... I spent 6 hours trawling Autotrader and eBay yesterday morning, up at 6:30am to try to find something! My Pajero doesn't have any more to give me on motorways, it needs to be loved by someone that won't try to drive it like a standard car, up and down the M1, M4, M6, M40 and M25! So, hopefully we've found one and we're seeing it at lunchtime... I'm trying to not get too excited, but it looks like it's the one... It's stretched my budget to the absolute maximum, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for....

Anyway, off for now, hopefully back soon with a new car!!

Hotels again....

Another nuts week for travel! I'm in Basingstoke today, then driving to Chesterfield for the night, morning in Chesterfield tomorrow, then Derby to do some training. Then I'm across to Birmingham for the night, then there for another call out! Back home, then Abingdon Friday morning and then back to Woking for the afternoon! Next week is worse, so hopefully we can find a new car at the weekend, my old jalopy isn't going to take much more!

I'm in hotels for two nights, so I have to think this week. I'm probably going to have salads in the evening, stuff that's pre-packed from Tesco, with chicken from the chilled counter, so I don't go to the restaurant in the hotels! Lunches are easier, as I can eat at the offices I'm working from. The hotel tonight has a pool, but I won't get there til late, so not sure I'll get to use it, costume is packed anyway...

Wish me luck, will power required this week, let's see...! :0)

25lb Star..... ACHIEVED!!!!!

Need I say more?!?! I'm hoping the screen print will come up on here, if not, I'll post it later, but I'm now under 12.5st! I've got my 25lb star, which, to be honest, I never thought I would! I am so, so, sooooo happy! It means that I CAN do it, I've lost over half a stone in the three weeks since my 'blip' week in the hotel!

My PP has been readjusted to 27, so I need to be careful, as I already have a habit of going over! Gotta get the exercise up now!

See you later!

Will I? Won't I?

Been a busy bee this week! Had an epic Wednesday with a drive first to Telford and then onto Chesterfield, so all in, just under 6 hours driving! Then I had an apartment booked in Sheffield for two nights. I'd booked a one bed apartment, but got a 2 bed penthouse! It was lovely and on the 6th floor, so a great view too! I hadn't taken any provisions with me this time, so I walked to the Tesco Metro on West Street, which was about a quarter of a mile. It pissed down there and back! Got me moving a bit faster though! I opted for bananas, microwaveable veggies and WW meals, as I couldn't be bothered to do any cooking!

Wednesday night was peaceful, watched half of The Best Marigold Hotel, then went to bed. Thursday was busy and a tough day. I had a WW meal and a few glasses of low alcohol spritzer in the evening at the apartment whilst working, caught up with Eastenders on iPlayer on the TV (gotta get me an Internet TV!), saw the last half of the film and crashed! Friday was appalling in the morning. I felt flat and useless... Thursday had battered me and then Friday morning didn't get much better! I also had a 3 hour drive to the work's summer party in Abingdon ahead. I nearly didn't go, I was in that kind of mood! However, I did go, and won Employee of the Month (I knew about that one already), but somehow I also won the team incentive for July, which was a mini moto! Whoop!

On the drive south, I pigged as I was low, and consumed a McDonalds and a whole packet of wine gums... Not good... Took me 24 PP over my daily/weekly allowance and I felt even worse! I then consumed a bottle of low alcohol wine... I managed 1PP on the pedometer though! Today, I've been good! 4PP on the pedometer and good on the food front. I've been scouring the WW cookbooks and made an awesome dinner! Medallion steaks, with blue cheese sauce (25g Stilton, 2 tbsp 0% fat Greek yoghurt and 1 tsp of creme fraiche), homemade potato wedges and broccoli! Mmmmmmm!

So, will I or won't I have lost this week....? The scales will tell in the morning...

Off to have a nice hot soak, so back tomorrow for the weigh in results!

Hitting my stride....!

What a difference a week and some great friends makes! My food boredom seems to gone and I'm up to old tricks in the kitchen! A few days off had helped immensely too!

I made a healthy breakfast this morning, 2 Light Choices Cumberland sausages, one scrambled egg and mushrooms boiled in vegetable stock. For lunch I made the middle eastern couscous beef and had a Belgian chocolate Light Choices slice and then dinner I did roasted butternut squash with spicy season all on, broccoli and chicken breast with Philadelphia Light (half a mini tub in each breast), wrapped in a slice of Light Choices crumbed ham! I'm stuffed! I've had 350ml of skimmed milk, which is more than I normally would, but even with 2 glasses of low alcohol wine, I'm only at 32PP for the day!

I've tried to pull back today, as yesterday I screwed up by going over my daily PP and my daily allowance, by 8PP! So redeeming today will mean I'm almost back on track for the week! The pedometer is helping! I'm parking further away from where I'm going, so I can add steps! I'm listening out for the beeps to tell me I'm earning and then when I'm hitting exercise PP! I've added 4 this week, which has helped the redemption!

Exercise wise, I've had a book delivered for 15 minute workouts. I was going to start tonight, but as usual, my back's started twinging! I have 2 nights away this week (boo!), but it's apartment accommodation this time, so can exercise and eat properly! I've "discovered" Quorn again, which is so much better and easier to cook for me, as it's cooked from frozen and practically ready to go, no prep! Breakfast is ready, Danone 0% fat vanilla yogurt, 20g of muesli and a banana chopped into it.

Looking forward to the rest of the week, if not looking forward to going back to work!

Laters all,

Weigh in day...

I'm up early, on a Sunday! Went to bed early last night and my body has seemed to get into a routine of 7.5 hours and it's had enough sleep. So I got up! I actually prefer to get up early, as there's so much more day!

So, finished the week at -95PP but with 25PP for exercise, so that's probably why I managed to lose this week! Only a 1.2lb loss, but a loss is a loss! Now at 12st 8lbs! After suggestions from friends on the salad issue, I've bought some different things, like walnuts, celery, pears and apples to add to salad, plus a new honey and mustard dressing from Tesco which is from their Light Choices range. I've also bought some small cartons of orange juice to make the dressing that Michelle suggested. I've taken Christine's advice as well, and I'm not putting in everything I like into a salad, to mix it up each time, rather than the same every day!

I found an area on the Weight Watchers site yesterday as well, which is Quick Meals. Loads of breakfast and lunch ideas in there, that I can do easily when I have to go to work early and lunches I can make the night before! I'm off until Tuesday and then 2 nights away on Wednesday and Thursday, but I'm in an apartment, so I can take my time and make the right choices!

So, that's all for today, happy with the direction, and looking forward to another loss next weekend, if I stay on track! I've got 1st 8lbs to go, so I'm just over half way!

Love,
Weeza xx
